Review Submitted Oct 1, 2006 Hi, I am french and I was working as an au pair in drogheda and for me Mcphails is the best pub in Ireland because the staff is so cool and there are lots of rugbyplayers, i like this atmosphere.

On a summer day with a cold drink in your hand sitting in the beer garden you might think its a little piece of Heaven that we call Mc phails - Bren, Ireland

Review Submitted Jun 2, 2005 Good Pub with a mixed crowd. It's not very fancy (in fact the main bar has a preservation order) but it's a lot bigger than it looks from outside. Good large beer garden and a good back room where they have lots of live bands. If you're after a good atmosphere and good music then definitely call in.
