Review Submitted Jan 14, 2006 The field is a rather apt description of this pub the owner is a bull of a man who has he own brand of horse manure. He seems to be some sort of property developer gone mad he seems to have an opinion of everything from the trivial to the more serious issues of the day a healty debate is had on most nights but you can risk ejection from the premises should you disagree with the ever affable sheamie. Review Submitted Apr 23, 2005 This is a "real" pub. Seamy is the owner and he's been there for almost 50 years ! The redecoration is nice now and it's just a no bull real place. A lot of imitations and very few are authentic. The customers here are 80% locals or farmers and the conversation is deep very deep ! It's almost like being in the film "The Field" the very thing itself.! - Julian , France - Ireland
