Review Submitted Sep 6, 2004 Supposedly the oldest pub in Ireland it certainly has an old-style look to it. But it's one of the busiest pubs I've been into in a long time. It's a long narrow pub with a lot of character but the average age is late 20s early 30s rather than 70s. Out the back there's a new beergarden witha separate bar and the nigth I was there they had a band playing. Both the main bar and the beergarden were packed. We had a great time and I'll be calling in the next time I'm in Athlone.
